Welcome to Hydesville Tower School; it is my privilege to be the Headteacher of such an exciting place of learning. As parents and carers, we all want the very best for our children. It is crucial that they are encouraged to fulfil their academic potential; but of equal importance is their preparation for the everchanging world beyond education, a world presenting both challenges and opportunities.
Here at Hydesville Tower School, we are a happy community in which everyone can do and be their best. We pride ourselves on providing a breath-taking array of opportunities, not only within our traditional academic curriculum but also throughout our extensive extra-curricular and enrichment programmes.

Hydesville Tower School was ranked in top 25 on The Times Parent Power League Tables for 2025. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and to have had the exceptional work of our pupils and staff recognised in such a prestigious publication.
We were placed in the ‘Top fee paying schools with no sixth form’ category. Only the top 1,600 schools across the country feature in the guide, which was compiled based on examination results - a huge accolade for us at Hydesville.

✨ Year 6 stepped back in time! ✨
On Tuesday 18th November, our pupils embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Haden Hill House, diving head-first into the World War II Home Front Experience.
From taking part in mock evacuations to braving air-raid drills and exploring wartime rationing, the children were fully immersed in what life was like during the war. 🇬🇧🪖
The day was packed with hands-on activities that not only brought their classroom learning to life, but also sparked incredible teamwork, creativity, and resilience.

✨ Year 1 Leather Museum Adventure! ✨
Last Thursday, our amazing Year 1s had an unforgettable trip to the Leather Museum in Walsall! 👜👧👦
They discovered all kinds of fascinating facts about different types of leather and explored the many objects that can be made from it. 🐮➡️🎒
🎭 Hands-on Fun!
The children got creative by making their own leather masks! They soaked the leather, moulded it onto a face shape, and once they dry, the masks will be ready for colouring and decorating. We can’t wait to see their masterpieces! 🎨✨
🔑 Golden Creations!
They also made personalised key fobs using a real gold leafing machine — so cool! 💛🔧
🧸 Toys From the Past!
To round off the day, Year 1 explored a range of old-fashioned toys. They absolutely loved playing with them and discovering how children from long ago enjoyed fun without electronics! 🚂🌟

✨ Our Year 11 pupils took a big step towards their futures! ✨
They visited the @NEC for the UK’s largest national careers and skills event for young people in Years 11–13 @TheNationalSchool&CollegeLeaverFestival on Tuesday.
With a spotlight on employment opportunities and post-16/post-18 education and training, our pupils explored a world of possibilities.
Over 100 employers, training providers, colleges, universities, and industry bodies were there, giving our students hours to engage, ask questions, and gather invaluable information about the most promising paths for their futures.
