Holistic Approach

Emotional wellbeing is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.

Solid Values

We have a strong family ethos, and instil a sense of great pride in our school community. We look after, support and encourage each other to always be our best.

My child is taken care of, my opinion and input matters to them, and I think school provides a good bridge between home and school.

Meet our Headteacher

Welcome to Hydesville Tower School; it is my privilege to be the Headteacher of such an exciting place of learning. As parents and carers, we all want the very best for our children. It is crucial that they are encouraged to fulfil their academic potential; but of equal importance is their preparation for the everchanging world beyond education, a world presenting both challenges and opportunities.

Here at Hydesville Tower School, we are a happy community in which everyone can do and be their best. We pride ourselves on providing a breath-taking array of opportunities, not only within our traditional academic curriculum but also throughout our extensive extra-curricular and enrichment programmes.

Mr Flatley has been on the hunt for the next Wimbledon champion this week when he challenged pupils in Year 6 to team up for the longest rally in their PE lessons.

Congratulations to our worthy winners, Jaeveer and Amar!

📣 On Tuesday our Year 6 pupils had an unforgettable trip to Haden Hill House!

They stepped back in time to experience life on the Home Front during WWII, taking part in hands-on activities such as evacuation drills and air raid simulations, and they also learnt about rationing for food and clothing.

This immersive day brought history to life, allowing the pupils to understand the resilience and challenges faced during the war. Not only did the trip deepen their classroom learning, but it also encouraged teamwork and creativity! 💪📚

An excellent location to learn

Hydesville Tower School seamlessly blends historic charm with modern amenities. Our converted houses, some dating back to 1901, house classrooms, a dining room, and offices, featuring original Victorian details like stained glass windows and floor tiles. Despite our central location, we've maximised outdoor space with direct access to the nearby Walsall Arboretum.

Ongoing investments ensure top-notch facilities, including a recent transformation of our school hall into a fully functioning theatre. With wireless coverage throughout, technology is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of learning.

Hydesville integrates individual academic attainment with a caring nurturing environment. They have good academic outcomes and very friendly, approachable staff.
